Gadgets are enjoyable

First of all gadgets are very cool and they make us feel happy and say: Wow, it’s great! A gadget can always make you feel better because they access your deepest needs: comfort, security, usefulness and perhaps most importantly, you can play with them.

Some like gadgets because they make their lives easier and comfortable. In my opinion, I will say we love gadgets because gadgets are toys. Gadgets are toys for the big guys or girls with great minds. We like to play with them, test them and integrate them into our lives. Babies have Suzette’s we have gadgets.

There’s no doubt that gadgets are an ingrained part of our lives. Some gadgets make life easier, some make difficult jobs faster and less painful. The problem is that gadgets can consume unnecessary resources.

But does it have to be that way?

When it comes to buying gadgets I believe that there are 3 key technologies that help you save the world. Before I get to that, what do I mean by save the world, because that’s a big claim right?

Saving the world to me means:

Less reliance on batteries – I don’t know about you, but I’m over batteries. I know we need them but I feel that technology has not progressed as fast as it could.

Batteries are also toxic and require special disposal methods. If the reliance on batteries is decreased there will be a decrease in toxic waste.

Economical use of free resources – If you are going to by a gadget you might as well make use of the free resources that are available such as, the wind, water, the sun and human energy. All these resources can power gadgets and incredibly, are free!

It goes without saying that if you’re powering your gadgets for free, you’re saving a huge amount in gadget running costs.

Less reliance on batteries and the economical use of exiting free resources means I can buy gadgets and feel good about helping the world at the same time.

So what are the technologies that help you save the world?

Wind Up Technology

This technology involves making use of human muscle power to wind a hand crank and create electricity. This electricity can be used to charge other devices, create light or power radios. Free, easy, energy.

LED Technology

Not only are LED’s extremely efficient, they have incredible lifetimes, often in the 10s of thousands of hours. LEDs are cheap to create due to improved LED manufacturing technology and combined with extremely long service life which makes the LED a cheap and long lasting eco-friendly technology

 Solar Technology

What’s better than free power? Solar technology is only just starting to significantly improve; I believe we are just at the beginning. Currently all sorts of efficient personal solar chargers are available. Devices can be topped up, or completely recharged for only the cost of the solar charger.

If you combine wind up technology, LED technology and Solar technology into a gadget your not only saving the world, you saving money and reducing the reliance on nasty batteries.
